About

Mika Altidor is a college student in Portland, Maine studying Art History. Born in New York City, she moved to Portland at two years old with her mother and older sister, staying ever since. Her collage works and clay miniatures have been featured in exhibitions at Mayo Street Arts, Buoy Gallery, and Ocean House Gallery in Maine. Her poems have been published in The Café Review and read aloud at many an open mic. She worked for many years as a camp counselor for a variety of different programs, particularly in theater costuming and stage crew, indoor and outdoor art in different mediums, and engineering and construction. Through an internship at the Maine Historical Society, she gained hands-on experience with historical objects that developed even further her appreciation and passion for history. Her goal is to pursue a career in museum studies, collections management, and curation.
